Do you have some difficulty adjusting to new conditions or changes in your life?
Do you find yourself often feeling sad, lonely, worried, confused, or overwhelmed?
Do you feel homesick or find yourself relying on drugs, alcohol, or gambling as a way to cope with stress? Have you experienced a traumatic event?
If you experience any of the above, then this workshop is for you. During this two-hour interactive workshop, you will learn about the physiology of the stress response and how it effects your mind and body, and you will learn how to activate your relaxation response which can bring on relief and a new sense of confidence and wellbeing.
In addition, through the use of small groups, brainstorming, reflexive discussion, and demonstration exercises each participant will come away with new skills and a personal plan to improve their capacity to cope with stress, pressure, and the challenges of life.
